We believe in God our Eternal Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
We are disciples of Jesus Christ. We are Christians.
know there is a Plan of Salvation and that there is purpose in our lives. This is a life we can not get through alone. It is too difficult. Through faith and trust in Our Savior, He can help us on this journey. The trials and tribulations can be understood and learned from. In reaching out to Jesus Christ, our ulitmate goal of returning to Heaven becomes very reachable. There, we will be reunited with Him and our families forever.
As the world's morals fall further and further, those who maintain their morals and high standards will stand out - and in some cases, will be attacked for their beliefs. We stand confident knowing Jesus Christ lives and is the cornerstone of our lives. Confidence comes from knowing the truth about yourself and your beliefs. As a faith, we set high standards. We are far from perfect, and as humans do, often stumble. However, we won't lower our standards to suit the world or make it easy.
Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in - even if it means standing alone.
"The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything." Albert Einstein
Look at your family. I mean, REALLY look at them. See their flaws? See that brightness? See their struggles? Witness their triumphs? See some pain and uncertainty? See their humanness? You see that and you love them even more. You want to hold them and protect them. You want them to be safe and happy.
They are your heart. They are your memories. They are your soul and happiness.
You can't imagine a life without them.
Then, they are gone.
It will happen one day. Death steals all of us.
A bitter cold rushes over you. You are overwhelmed by fear and grief. That person, that love of your life - is gone, and you will never experience them again.
The thought is suffocating. It is unbearable.
Wait. Take a deep breath.
FAMILY IS FOREVER
Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you can be sealed to your family - as a family, for time and all eternity. FOREVER. You and your children, your spouse, your parents... together in Heaven forever.
It is promised to us. That's the greatest gift. Read the Bible. Then, pick up a Book of Mormon - which is another testament of Jesus Christ, and read it. Contact a LDS friend or missionary. They will share this wonderful blessing with you - and more important, how your family can be forever.
I promise that conversation will be life changing if you open your heart.
You will learn how your family can be sealed together FOREVER.
It will be your greatest joy.
A Testimony.
When my son Alex was a little boy of only 15 months old, he came down with a severe rash. He was taken to a doctor who said he had a case of psoriasis and gave to us an ointment.
A few days later, than rash hadn't cleared. It was much worse and now, he was burning with fever and wasn't eating.
We took him to the hospital, and after an exam, the doctor said he had a very, very serious case of the measles. They couldn't provide his body nourishment because he couldn't eat and his blood vessels would not accept intravenous feeding. He was fading. The doctor pulled us aside and said, "There is nothing we can do for him. If you believe in a God, a suggest you pray to Him."
We turned to the Lord.
In a blessing to my son, I reached out to our Father in Heaven with all the love and desparation of a father needing His define assistance. A curing touch. The Spirit of God overwhelmed me. He was there in that room with us.
Within one minute of completing the blessing, our son stood up in his crib and with energy asked for a bottle. The nourishment began.
Within a few hours he was COMPLETELY healed and released.
He had been cured - almost instantly.
I promise you God is there. Every single day.
Through Him, we can be blessed. Miracles can happen. Families can be forever. Your live will have eternal purpose.
Talk to Him.
Tell Him your truths and weaknesses - and failures.
Ask Him to carry your burdens and lighten your load.
Ask Him for strength.
He is there for you as He was for us that night.
Just open your door and let Him in.
